WORLDWATCH   NEWS FROM JAKARTA: Muslim women and Catholic nuns call for peace in Maluku From my Indonesian friend Ignatius Ismartono, SJ Dear Ingrid, how have you been? Please find a picture of the multi religious demonstration before the House of Representatives. The situation in Muluku and North Maluku is worsening. This demonstration happened yesterday, July 13 2000. Please pray for us, Ignatius   Even though the state of civil emergency in Maluku and North Maluku has been maintained for about two weeks, conflicts continue rampantly. Women (Moslem women and Catholic nuns) cannot stand still any longer. They carried out a joint multi religious demonstration before the House of Representatives with the following demands: Weapon bearers, don't destroy Indonesian people!
