Ontario Consultants on Religious Tolerance
Our eventual goal is to help people value religious diversity. However, right now, we are concentrating on the promotion of religious tolerance.  It is a little difficult to encourage people to enjoy the variety of faiths in North America when there is so much religiously based intolerance and hatred. 

The Los Angeles Buddhist-Catholic Dialogue
began February 16, 1989 and is sponsored by the Buddhist Sangha Council of Southern California  and the Catholic Office of Ecumenical and  Interreligious Affairs. It was formed as an official,  on-going, core group dialogue. The core group   was designed to accommodate approximately  eight Buddhist representatives and eight Roman  Catholic representatives. Meetings are held every six to eight weeks, rotating between Buddhist and Catholic locations.

The United States Institute of Peace 
is a nonpartisan, independent federal institution created and funded by Congress to strengthen the nation's capabilities to promote the peaceful resolution of international conflicts. Established in 1984, the Institute meets its congressional mandate through an array of programs, including grants, fellowships, conferences and workshops, library services, publications, and other educational activities.
